This will most likely be my last post for the year so I wanted to do a little rewind of some important lessons I’ve learned this year. Keeping reading and learn some things I’ve learned!
- Be nice, you don’t know what people are going through
- When your alarm goes off in the morning, just get up (if you don’t, it only gets harder)
- Approach health and wellness as caring for your health/body (not your appearance or size)
- Stop compaing yourself to others; compare yourself to you yesterday
- If you get the feeling to reach out to someone, do it
- Spend your time wisely doing things you love and things that make you better
- Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there – who cares what others think or say
- Practice makes perfect (whether you need 10,000 hours or less or more, it all matters)
- Take a risk
- Smile 🙂
- Write things down – everything and anything
- Appreciate and love your parents because you won’t always have them
- Don’t expect things from others, especially strangers
- Don’t wait, just do it
- Money is important but it is a means to an end; it’s not everything
- Spend money on your loved ones
- Read, read, read! Anything and everything! Find out what you like and go!
- Being passionate about something is important, attractive, and beneficial
- Everything starts with you
- Take responsibility for your actions – don’t always look for something or someone to blame
- Work hard – it will give you that accomplished and rewarding feeling we all crave
- Put the soul before the ego
- Do as much as you can before you complain
- There are people out there that are like you (your community is out there)
- Travel!
- Spend more money on experiences rather than things
- At the end of the day, I am responsible for what I do and how I react
- Really get to know and talk to people who are different than you and live differently than you
So those are the lessons I learned this past year. Some of them I had to learn the hard way, but nevertheless, I’m grateful for them. Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thanks for reading!
